What is happening with Instacart?

Since its inception, Instacart has been one of the most popular grocery delivery services in the United States. With over 2 million subscribers, the company has been able to grow rapidly and become one of the largest players in the space.

However, recent reports suggest that the company is in trouble.

First, the company announced that it would be laying off around 20% of its workforce, or around 500 employees. This follows reports that the company is losing money and that it may be unable to continue operations as is.

Second, Instacart is being investigated by the SEC for possible insider trading. It is suspected that two Instacart employees traded stocks based on information that they obtained through their positions with the company.

If this is proven, it could lead to serious consequences for the employees involved.

All in all, these are troubling signs for Instacart. If the company can’t manage to keep its employees and operations afloat, it may be forced to go out of business.
