Burger King has come up with a new sandwich called the Big King. The Big King consists of a quarter-pounder with cheese, bacon, and a side of fries. The sandwich retails for $3.99. The sandwich is a departure from the company’s usual fare. Burger King’s Chief Marketing Officer, Joel Klein, said that the Big King is meant to appeal to “more sophisticated” customers.
Klein said that the Big King is “more than a burger, it’s a sandwich.” The Big King is a Whopper with cheese on top, and it is the first sandwich that Burger King has created in collaboration with Canadian chain, Tim Hortons. The Big King will be available in all U.S. Burger King restaurants starting on July 1st. Burger King reports that the Big King is doing well in test markets.
