What pharmacy did Walgreens buy out?

Walgreens purchased Rite Aid Corporation in late 2016 for $17.3 billion. This purchase gave Walgreens a large pharmacy network and allowed it to compete with larger pharmacies such as CVS and Target.

Rite Aid was previously owned by Albertsons, which announced in January that it would be splitting into two companies, one of which would be a pharmacy. This sale may indicate that pharmacies are becoming more important as a business, and that there are many potential buyers out there.
