Who bought Ace Hardware?

On July 4th, 2015, it was announced that Ace Hardware had been bought by Lowe’s. The purchase price was $2.5 billion.

Ace Hardware is a hardware store chain with over 4,000 stores in the United States. It is the largest hardware store chain in the U.S., followed by Home Depot and Lowe’s.

The purchase of Ace Hardware by Lowe’s will likely lead to the closure of some Ace Hardware stores, as Lowe’s typically does not operate multiple stores in close proximity to each other.

It is not yet known what Lowe’s plans are for the Ace Hardware brand, but it is possible that they will rebrand some of their stores as Ace Hardware stores.
