We did some digging, and it turns out that the actor in the new Petco commercial is a dog named Baxter. Baxter is a four-year-old Golden Retriever who lives in Los Angeles with his owner, Julie. Julie is a professional dog trainer, and she has worked with Baxter on numerous commercials and TV shows.
