Why did USPS discontinue custom stamps?

The USPS discontinued custom stamps in 2006 because they could not make a profit from them. The custom stamps were a way for the USPS to make money off of customers who wanted to customize their mail.

However, the USPS was not able to make a profit from custom stamps because they were not selling enough of them. The custom stamps were also expensive to produce, and the USPS was not able to keep up with the high demand for them.
