Chick-Fil-A closed today due to protests and boycotts against the company. The protests began in 2012 when Dan Cathy, the president of Chick-Fil-A, said that he supported the biblical definition of marriage between a man and a woman. Since then, protesters have called for a boycott of the restaurant, and many people have sworn not to eat there because of the company’s stance. However, Chick-Fil-A is not the only company with a stance on marriage.
Many other companies support same-sex marriage, but Chick-Fil-A is the only company to receive significant backlash from protesters. It is possible that the protests against Chick-Fil-A will lead to a change in the way the company is viewed.
