There has been persistent speculation about a third installment in the “Will there be a grown UPS 3?” saga ever since the original film ended with a cliffhanger. In 2013, director Tim Hill stated that he and producer Judd Apatow were “actively working on a third installment,” but since then there’s been little word on the project.
While it’s uncertain if a third installment will ever happen, it’s still possible. Hill and Apatow have both expressed interest in continuing the series, and with both of them busy with other projects it’s unlikely that they would be able to commit to a full-length film for another two or three years.
However, if the project does move forward it’s likely that it would be a reboot rather than a direct sequel to the original film.
