It’s that time of year again! The leaves are falling, the air is crisp and cool, and retailers are gearing up for the holiday shopping season.
One of the most anticipated shopping events of the year is Black Friday, when shoppers can snag big discounts on everything from electronics to clothing. Many retailers open their doors early on Black Friday, and some even stay open all night. But one retailer that has traditionally been closed on Black Friday is Walmart.
This year, however, things are a little different. Due to the ongoing pandemic, Walmart has announced that it will be closed on Thanksgiving Day 2020. This marks the first time in decades that the retailer will be closed on Thanksgiving.
So what does this mean for shoppers? Well, it’s still unclear exactly how Walmart will handle Black Friday sales this year.
In years past, the retailer has offered doorbuster deals and discounts both online and in-stores. It’s possible that Walmart will continue with these deals, but offer them exclusively online. Or, the retailer could choose to spread out its Black Friday deals throughout the month of November (as many other retailers are doing this year).
No matter what Walmart decides to do, one thing is for sure: shoppers will still be able to find great deals on everything they need this holiday season. So even though Walmart won’t be open on Thanksgiving Day 2020, there’s no need to worry – Black Friday will still be just as big and exciting as ever.
Although Walmart will be closed on Thanksgiving Day 2020, shoppers will still be able to find great deals on everything they need this holiday season.
