Is the owner of Albertsons Mormon?

Albertsons is an American grocery chain that was founded in 1939 by Joe Albertson. The company is headquartered in Boise, Idaho, and has over 2,200 stores across the United States. Albertsons is one of the largest grocery chains in the United States, with sales of over $16 billion in 2016.

The company was founded by a man who was raised in the Mormon faith, and the company has always been associated with the Mormon church. In fact, the company’s full name was originally “Albertson’s Mormon Foods”, but was shortened to “Albertsons” in 1953.

The company has always been supportive of the Mormon church, and its founder was a member of the church’s governing body, the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. However, the current owner of Albertsons is not Mormon. He is a Catholic who bought the company in 2006.

Despite this change in ownership, Albertsons continues to support the Mormon church. In 2012, the company donated $1 million to help build a new LDS temple in Boise.

So while the current owner of Albertsons is not Mormon, the company has always been closely associated with the Mormon church.
