Wendy’s is an American international fast food restaurant chain founded by Dave Thomas on November 15, 1969, in Columbus, Ohio. The company moved its headquarters to Dublin, Ohio in 2006.
The chain is known for square hamburgers, sea salt fries, and Frosty milkshakes. As of 2016, Wendy’s was the world’s third largest hamburger fast food chain with 6,537 locations, following Burger King and McDonald’s.
Wendy’s menu consists primarily of hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, French fries and beverages such as soft drinks, Frosties and shakes. The company does not offer a traditional breakfast menu.
In March 2019, Wendy’s announced that it would no longer offer baked potatoes at its restaurants nationwide. The company cited low customer demand and the need to simplify its menu as the reasons for the change.
Why does Wendy’s no longer have baked potatoes?
The answer is simple: customer demand has dwindled and the chain needs to simplify its menu. In today’s fast-paced world, many people are looking for quick and easy meal options that don’t require a lot of time or effort. Baked potatoes are neither of those things.
Wendy’s knows that in order to stay relevant, it needs to offer items that are in line with what its customers want. And right now, that means focusing on items like hamburgers and chicken sandwiches.
