Does Instacart markup Wegmans?

Instacart is a company that connects customers with local grocery stores to pick up their groceries. Customers can order groceries through the Instacart app and have them delivered to their homes.

Recently, Instacart has come under scrutiny for the high markup that they apply to groceries at Wegmans. Instacart charges Wegmans a markup of 34.

5% on groceries. This is a far higher markup than any other grocery store that Instacart works with.

While it is possible that the high markup at Wegmans is due to the high cost of groceries at Wegmans, it is also possible that Instacart applies a high markup to all of their grocery stores to make more money.

Ultimately, it is hard to say whether or not the high markup at Wegmans is due to Instacart, or if Wegmans just has higher costs overall. However, the high markup at Wegmans does raise some questions about the viability of using Instacart as a primary way to get groceries.
