Does Kroger own Harris Teeter?

Putting together the pieces of information we have, it seems that Kroger does not own Harris Teeter. Kroger’s ownership stake in Harris Teeter is only around 10%. This means that Kroger does not have a controlling interest in the company, and as such, Kroger is not able to make any decisions that would affect Harris Teeter’s operations. This lack of control may be why Kroger has not been able to improve the customer experience at Harris Teeter, as they are not able to make any significant changes to the way the company operates.

On the other hand, Harris Teeter’s ownership structure may also allow the company to make more strategic decisions that could benefit Kroger. For example, Harris Teeter may be able to invest more in new technology, which could help Kroger keep up with the competition. In conclusion, Kroger does not appear to have a controlling interest in Harris Teeter, but the company does have some indirect influence over the company.
