Does USPS deliver straight from distribution center?

USPS delivers packages from distribution centers located throughout the United States. The majority of packages are delivered within 1-2 business days, though there are times when delivery can take up to 7 business days.

The vast majority of packages are delivered to the customer’s door, though there are certain exceptions. In particular, packages that require special handling (such as those containing fragile items) may be delivered by truck instead of by USPS.
