Wendy’s is a fast food restaurant chain founded by Dave Thomas on November 15, 1969, in Columbus, Ohio. The company moved its headquarters to Dublin, Ohio, on January 29, 2006.
As of December 31, 2018, Wendy’s was the world’s third largest hamburger fast-food chain with 6,711 locations, following Burger King and McDonald’s. On April 24, 2008, the company announced a merger with Triarc Companies Inc., a publicly traded company and the parent company of Arby’s. Despite the new ownership, Wendy’s headquarters remained in Dublin.
Wendy’s menu consists primarily of hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, Frosty (a soft serve dessert), French fries and beverages such as the Frosty Float. Since phasing out their Super Value Menu in 2007, the chain has not had a value menu; however, limited time offers have appeared throughout the years.

In September 2018, Wendy’s introduced a new line of “signature” sandwiches called Dave’s Hot ‘n Juicy; these are similar to the burgers served during the chain’s early years. The new sandwiches include: Dave’s Hot ‘n Juicy 3/4 lb.
Triple with three beef patties; Dave’s Hot ‘n Juicy 1/2 lb. Double with two beef patties; and Dave’s Hot ‘n Juicy 1/4 lb. Single with one beef patty.
