Best Buy offers a wide variety of electronics protection plans and services to extend the life of your product. If you need to file a claim, start by finding your protection plan.
If you purchased your plan from Best Buy, you can find it in your My Best Buy account. If you purchased elsewhere, you’ll need your plan number.
You can also look up your product to find the serial number:
- In store: Look for the barcode sticker on the product or packaging.
- Online or over the phone: Check your confirmation email or receipt.
- Appliances: Find the model and serial numbers on the product itself.
Once you have your information, visit the Geek Squad Protection page and select “File/Track Claim”. You’ll be asked to log in or create an account. From there, you can start a new claim or track an existing one.
