How do I know if a PayPal email is real?

When an email asks for your PayPal account information, it’s important to be skeptical. There are many scams out there that try to steal your information or money. To be sure that you’re getting an email from PayPal, look for the following:

The email asks for your full name and email address.

The email asks you to provide your PayPal account login information.

The email asks you to provide your banking information.

The email asks you to provide your credit card information.

The email asks you to provide your bank account information.

The email asks you to provide your social security number.

The email asks you to provide your address.

The email asks you to provide your phone number.

The email asks you to provide your birth date.

The email asks you to provide your gender.

The email asks you to provide your occupation.

The email asks you to provide your country.

The email asks you to provide your ZIP code.

The email asks you to provide your email address.

The email asks you to provide your PayPal account information.

If any of these checks aren’t true, then it’s probably not an email from PayPal.
