Is Wendy’s safe for peanut allergy?

Wendy’s is a fast food restaurant chain founded by Dave Thomas on November 15, 1969, in Columbus, Ohio. As of March 2018, Wendy’s was the world’s third-largest hamburger fast-food chain with 6,650 locations, following Burger King and McDonald’s. More than half of the locations are in North America.

Wendy’s menu consists primarily of hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, french fries and soft drinks. Since phasing out their signature Frosty in favor of the Frosty Shake, the company has also offered milkshakes.

Wendy’s also offers salads, chili, baked potatoes, and several breakfast items. As of September 30, 2016, Wendy’s was the world’s ninth largest hamburger chain with 995 locations.

There have been several incidents where customers have found foreign objects in their food from Wendy’s. In January 2018 a customer in Florida found a dead rat in his chili.

In March 2018 a customer in Pennsylvania found a moldy chicken nugget in her child’s Happy Meal. In May 2018 a customer in Ohio found a severed human finger in his chili.

Is Wendy’s safe for peanut allergy?

No definitive answer can be given as to whether or not Wendy’s is safe for peanut allergy sufferers. While the restaurant does not serve any products that contain peanuts, there have been several incidents where customers have found foreign objects in their food. If you suffer from peanut allergies, it is advisable to exercise caution when dining at Wendy’s.
