When you mail a package through the United States Postal Service, you rely on the government-run service to safely deliver your package to its destination. Unfortunately, accidents can happen, and when that happens, the USPS can’t always help you get your package back.
If your package is lost or stolen while in transit, the USPS is limited in what it can do to help. The agency can’t track down your package or refund you for the money you spent on it.
In most cases, you’ll have to file a claim with the insurance company that sent the package, and then hope that they’re able to help get it back to you.
If your package is lost or stolen after it’s delivered to its destination, the USPS is usually able to help you get your package back. The agency will usually send you a letter notifying you that your package has been delivered, and then you can go to the post office where it was delivered to claim it.
There’s no guarantee that the USPS will be able to help you get your package back, but it’s worth checking into the possibility. If your package is lost or stolen, the USPS isn’t going to be able to help you get back all of the money you spent on it, but at least you’ll be able to get it back.
