There are a few different types of push-UPS, which can make them more difficult to do. One type is the traditional push-up, which is performed with the hands placed shoulder-width apart on the ground. Another type, the Moffett push-up, is performed with the hands placed slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, allowing the palms to be placed on the ground instead of the fists. The third type, the modified push-up, is performed with the hands placed slightly closer together than shoulder-width apart, and the elbows extended.
The fourth type, the pistol push-up, is performed with the hands placed behind the back, with the arms extended and the hands placed just in front of the shoulder blades. The fifth type, the spiderman push-up, is performed with the hands placed shoulder-width apart, with the palms facing forward.
