What pharmacy did Walgreens buy?

Walgreens announced in early September 2016 that it had agreed to purchase Rite Aid’s pharmacy business for $9.3 billion. The transaction is expected to be completed in early 2017.

Rite Aid’s pharmacy business includes more than 2,000 stores and employs more than 47,000 pharmacists. The purchase will give Walgreens a significant presence in the national pharmacy market.
