Pull-UPS are a great exercise to build upper-body strength and tone your back and shoulders. However, they can be a slightly challenging exercise to do if you have trouble gripping the bar with the correct hand position.
Many people find that the easier grip is to hold the bar with the palm facing outwards. This is often referred to as the “overhand” grip.
However, you can also grip the bar with your palms facing each other, which is often referred to as the “underhand” grip.
The underhand grip is generally considered to be easier, as it requires less strength and less wrist motion. However, the overhand grip is more effective when it comes to building strength and definition in the muscles of the upper body.
