On October 5, 2018, Advance Auto Parts completed its acquisition of General Parts International, Inc. (“GPI”), a leading distributor and supplier of original equipment and aftermarket automotive replacement parts and services in North America. The acquisition of GPI significantly expands Advance Auto Parts’ commercial business.

In May 2013, Advance Auto Parts bought out Carquest from Ackman-Ziff Real Estate Group for $2 billion. The deal included 1,246 stores in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada.
