Why are Tim Hortons closed in Michigan?

Tim Hortons, one of the most popular Canadian fast food restaurants, is closed in Michigan due to a labor dispute. The restaurant is closed in the Detroit-Warren-Livonia area, and in Flint and Saginaw. The dispute is between the company and the Baklava Workers Union.

The company is arguing that they should not have to pay benefits to the workers, while the union is claiming that the company is not abiding by the contract. The dispute has resulted in the closure of the restaurants.
