Do Instacart shoppers get penalized for mistakes?

Instacart shoppers are human, and as such, mistakes will inevitably be made. This is especially true when dealing with large, bulk orders. Instacart has a policy in place that allows shoppers to make up to three mistakes without being penalized, but after that, they will be subject to a delivery delay.

In the case of a mistake that results in a product being delivered to a customer in a state that is not acceptable, Instacart has a policy in place that allows for a full refund. Overall, Instacart shoppers are given a lot of leeway in terms of making mistakes, but there are consequences for doing so.
