Hobby Lobby is set to reopen its stores on Monday, May 4th after being closed for two months due to the coronavirus pandemic. The craft store chain will have new safety measures in place, including limiting the number of customers in the store at one time, marking six-foot intervals in lines, and providing face masks and gloves for employees.
Hobby Lobby president Steve Green said in a statement, “The health and safety of our employees and customers is our top priority. We have spent the past several weeks preparing our stores to reopen with enhanced safety measures to help protect our employees and customers.”
The move comes as other retailers, including Walmart and Target, have already begun to reopen their stores with similar safety measures in place. Many retailers have been forced to close their doors due to the pandemic, but as states begin to ease restrictions, more and more stores are starting to reopen.
