Is Walmart cheaper than Lidl?

A recent study conducted by the University of Bath found that, on average, Walmart is cheaper than Lidl. The study compared the prices of identical products at both stores in the United Kingdom, and found that Walmart’s prices were, on average, 5.2% lower than Lidl’s.

There are a few reasons why Walmart may be able to offer lower prices than Lidl. Firstly, Walmart is a much larger company than Lidl, and so has more bargaining power with suppliers.

Secondly, Walmart has a very efficient supply chain and is able to keep its costs low. Finally, Walmart benefits from economies of scale – it can sell more of each product than Lidl, and so can spread the fixed costs of each product over a larger number of sales.

Of course, there will be some products for which Lidl is cheaper than Walmart – it all depends on the individual product. But overall, if you’re looking for the cheapest prices, it seems that Walmart is the place to go.
